Amy is nearly a Hopkinsville native (she's been in Hoptown long enough you can call her that!)  and a graduate of Hopkinsville High School.  She graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1989 with a degree in speech communications.  Her minor was in broadcasting.  Upon college graduation, she began working at TV43 (WKAG TV) in sales, with a short stint as co-host of the morning show "Sunrise."  Amy left TV 43 in 1993 to work in her family's business, where she was advertising and marketing director.  She likes to say she "sat on the other side of the desk for a while."  In 2002, Amy returned to media when she joined Ham Broadcasting Company, Inc.  She is Sales Manager for all 3 of Ham's stations.
