Trigg County Biggest Loser Community Weight Loss Challenge

The BIGGEST LOSER Community Weight Loss Challenge officially gets underway Monday January 7, 2013…..sponsored by Trigg County Hospital, Hancock’s Neighborhood Market, WKDZ/WHVO, Culligan and Curves!

So get your BFF’s, family, church group together and get ready to participate!!  Get your own team from 3-6 (this is ideal, but you can have more). The weigh in will be at the new Curves location at 1939 Main Street, Cadiz (Melissa Goodwin is the proud new owner of Curves). Weigh in times will be 7-9am, 11-1 and 4-6pm. There will be lots of great information on hand when you come in to weigh.

This 12-week challenge is designed to help our community and each person to get healthy (or healthier). The TC Extension Homemakers and the TC Hospital dietary department are teaming up with us to help provide healthy tips, healthy recipes, support and a weight loss plan (if you want it).

WKDZ/WHVO will be the Voice for the Biggest Loser Community Weight Loss Challenge (we’ll have teams too), and we will use our websites (both will have lots of great information) and face book page we created - the Trigg County Biggest Loser Community Weight Loss Challenge last year and it’s active and ready.  Use that as a tool to communicate with your fellow team members and other teams.

Choose your team captain and weigh in every Monday to your captain and report your weight loss on face book before midnight on Monday. The team with the most pounds lost will get a case of free water from Culligan.  Winner will be announced Tuesday morning during the WKDZ Country Club and also posted on Facebook. There will be one winning team (has to be reported on Facebook) and each member of that team will receive a free case of water courtesy of Lucas Chesnut and Culligan. Each team member must pick up their own water by 4:00 on Friday of the week your team wins.

The final weigh in (or weigh out) will be Monday April  1st  (No fooling!) at the new location of Curves in Cadiz

There will have a Biggest Loser Female, Biggest Loser Male, Biggest Loser Team and overall Biggest Loser…all based on percentage of weight loss (so everyone has a chance).  60% will go to the Overall Biggest Loser, Male and Female Biggest Loser gets 10% and the biggest loser team will get 20%. This year there is a Maintainer prize-this means if you weigh in at the same or less than you did at last year’s last weigh-in and maintain or loose during this year’s 12-week challenge, you will be eligible to win 10% off the cash prize). We will award trophies as well!

Weight loss is based on percentage, so everybody has equal chance to win!!
