1975 - Linda Ronstadt Debuts in a Huge Way

Linda Ronstadt was probably the biggest new star of 1975.  Her album, "Heart Like A Wheel" skyrocketed to number one on the charts for the year and featured "You're No Good" and "When Will I Be Loved?"  Bob Marley's reggae continued to gain status with "No Woman, No Cry" and "Get Up, Stand Up".  Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" and "Thunder Road"  gained respect among hard rockers and those who just liked "good music".   Captain and Tennille enjoyed huge success with "Love Will Keep Us Together"!

Important Fact:  Elton John's "Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy entered the charts at #1 in 1974 and became his biggest all-time seller.


The Rolling Stone named 500 of the greatest songs of all time.  16 songs made the cut in 1975!
